• Team: XIG (Cross-Asset Investment Group) within Asset & Wealth Management, focusing on Primaries Private Equity.
• Mission: Evaluate and conduct due diligence on private equity funds, presenting investment opportunities to the investment committee.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Evaluate: Evaluate and conduct due diligence on private equity funds pursuing buyout, growth equity, and venture capital strategies.
• Present: Present investment opportunities to the investment committee through written and oral presentations, and conduct required follow-up.
• Develop: Assist in developing views on the private equity manager landscape and investment themes.
• Coordinate: Coordinate the execution of investments, including working closely with internal (e.g., internal counsel, compliance) and external parties (e.g., private equity managers, external counsel).
• Monitor: Monitor the performance and risk profile of existing portfolio investments.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Officer. Minimum of three years of experience in corporate finance, M&A, leverage finance, private equity, or other private or public markets investing.
• Experience: Investing mindset, ability to think independently about an investment, and understanding of portfolio construction.
• Skills: Strong financial modelling, corporate valuation, and accounting skills, familiarity with private equity, and excellent communication and writing skills.
• Bonus: Ability to self-direct, analyze, evaluate, and form independent judgments, a resourceful approach to problem-solving, and an outstanding record of professional and academic achievement.
