• Mission: The Associate will work closely with senior investors to support the firm’s highly selective, high-conviction investment approach, playing a crucial role in sourcing, evaluating, underwriting, and executing new investment opportunities, as well as contributing to portfolio company initiatives to drive long-term value creation.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Evaluation: Evaluate new investment opportunities through comprehensive market research, in-depth financial analysis, and rigorous investment underwriting processes to identify high-quality businesses.
• Modeling: Build and critically review detailed financial models, specifically encompassing sophisticated leveraged buyout (LBO) analysis and intricate valuation work for potential targets.
• Due Diligence: Support extensive due diligence efforts across various critical workstreams, including financial, commercial, and operational assessments, to thoroughly vet investment prospects.
• Transaction Execution: Assist in the full scope of transaction execution, guiding investment opportunities from the initial evaluation phase through to successful closing.
• Value Creation: Partner closely with senior team members on developing robust investment theses and actively contributing to strategic initiatives aimed at driving value creation within portfolio companies.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Prior investment banking experience is required, ideally with relevant exposure to Business Services, Industrials, TMT, or broader M&A transaction coverage.
• Experience: Demonstrated experience working on complex M&A transactions, taking on meaningful analytical responsibility throughout the deal lifecycle, from origination to close.
• Skills: Strong capabilities in financial modeling, valuation methodologies, and practical transaction execution techniques are essential for this role.
