Private Client Legal Assistant | Prosum
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Prosum, located in Los Angeles, CA, offering a hybrid work environment (3 days onsite, subject to change). This position provides essential administrative and legal support to attorneys within the Trusts & Estates/Private Client group. The role is critical for ensuring smooth operations and high-quality service for high-net-worth clients, combining specialized legal administrative tasks with direct client interaction. What You’ll Actually Do
• Client Relationship Management: Serve as a primary point of contact for high-net-worth and high-profile clients, handling confidential personal and financial information with discretion.
• Legal Document Preparation: Prepare, format, and proofread estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, and powers of attorney, and draft standard legal correspondence.
• Workflow and Calendar Management: Manage attorney calendars, track deadlines, prioritize urgent client matters, and oversee deliverables for estate planning timelines.
• Financial and Billing Coordination: Assist with time entry, billing processes, invoice tracking, and coordinate with accounting for trust and client account documentation.
• Trust and Estate Administration Support: Organize trust records, tax filings, and asset documentation, while coordinating with external advisors such as CPAs, financial advisors, and banks.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Early-to-mid career professional with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Trusts & Estates.
• Experience: Hands-on experience specifically in estate planning is required, along with Notary Public certification or a willingness to obtain it.
• Skills: Strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to manage confidential and sensitive information. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal/billing software is essential.
• Bonus: Prior background as a Legal Assistant or Legal Secretary in Trusts & Estates, experience in private client services, and familiarity with trust administration processes are preferred.
