• Team: Supports the pharmacy team
• Mission: This intern supports the pharmacy team by ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of pharmacy products and services, while advocating for patient wellbeing and improving customer health.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Confidentiality: Ensure confidentiality of information, documentation, and assigned records according to Company policies and guidelines.
• Order Processing: Help with processing prescription and over-the-counter (OTC) orders and purchases.
• Patient Care: Deliver patient care by recognizing patient needs, assessing them, and helping navigate clinical therapies.
• Inventory Management: Receive and stock merchandise and supplies from distribution centers and suppliers.
• Area Maintenance: Manage inventory and maintain the pharmacy area according to standards.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level intern currently enrolled in an accredited Pharmacy school.
• Experience: Proficiency in pharmaceutical care and implementing best practices; demonstrated ability to foster relationships with customers and the pharmacy team.
• Skills:
• Commitment to following HIPAA and PHI guidelines and ensuring information confidentiality.
• Capability to cater to individual patient needs and navigate clinical therapies.
• Ability to help process prescription and OTC orders and purchases.
• Competence in receiving, stocking, and managing pharmacy inventory.
• Enthusiasm for participating in community activities, outreach, and events.
• Bonus: Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery Certification.
