The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Mount Sinai Concierge Care, located in Hudson Yards, Manhattan, NY, with a hybrid in-person and virtual work arrangement. Mount Sinai is a leading non-profit health system focused on innovating healthcare and improving value and service. This role contributes to providing excellent patient-centered care through a state-of-the-art concierge and employer-based medical facility. The Psychologist will deliver essential therapeutic services to members seeking high-touch, personalized care within this next-generation health center.

• Mission: Provide evidence-based, short-term therapeutic services and serve as the in-house behavioral health expert to enhance patient care within a concierge practice.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Therapeutic Service Delivery: Deliver evidence-based therapy and treatment, conducting individual intake assessments and outcome-oriented psychotherapy through face-to-face visits, phone, digital messaging, and video chat, also providing brief one-time skill sessions for patients in the Executive Physical program.
• Treatment Planning & Monitoring: Prepare comprehensive treatment plans with measurable goals, continuously monitor patient progress using standardized instruments, and update interventions based on individual patient outcomes.
• Behavioral Health Integration: Serve as the in-house behavioral health expert, educating clinical staff on monitoring and treating psychological disorders and effectively integrating behavioral health changes into patient care.
• Care Coordination & Liaison: Initiate referrals to specialty services, ensuring bi-directional communication with specialists and liaising with outside medical consultants, hospitalists, and emergency room providers to ensure timely, appropriate care and an excellent patient experience.
• Practice Improvement & Wellness: Actively engage in practice innovation and improvement initiatives, participating in clinical case reviews, educational sessions, and supporting the development and execution of wellness offerings and marketing efforts for the practice model.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Hold a Doctorate Degree (PhD or PsyD) from an Accredited University and possess a current New York State License to practice.
• Experience: Demonstrate comfort and proficiency in working with a variety of evidence-based treatment modalities. Must be capable of treating a wide range of psychological conditions, including anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, panic disorders, personality disorders, OCD, substance abuse, and eating disorders. Experience in conducting comprehensive risk assessments and providing effective crisis management is also required.
• Skills: Exhibit outstanding communication skills for clear patient and team interactions, along with an excellent bedside manner to foster patient trust and comfort. Possess strong organizational skills to manage patient load, documentation, and scheduling effectively, complemented by a robust work ethic.
