Job Details: Poultry Production and Live Operations Intern

Location: This position could be based in one of our facilities in Arkansas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Tennessee, Kentucky, Georgia, North Carolina, or South Carolina.

Summary: As a Poultry Production and Live Operations Intern, you will gain comprehensive exposure to various aspects of the poultry production process. Interns will work across a range of production and live operations positions, familiarizing themselves with the entire lifecycle. You will also have the opportunity to experience critical operational support departments such as Safety and Quality Assurance.

We are seeking interns who are eager to contribute to our success through innovative ideas and value creation. Successful performance in this internship, combined with the business’s talent needs, may lead to an opportunity to join the Cobb Team as a full-time member.

Local Candidate Priority: This position prioritizes candidates currently local to the aforementioned states. Priority consideration will be given to these applicants first. Should local candidates not be selected, candidates from other areas will then be reviewed.

Requirements:

  • Education: Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program with at least one semester of school remaining. Preference will be given to students pursuing degrees in Agriculture, Poultry Operations, or other agriculture-related fields.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Computer Skills: Basic computer proficiency is required.
  • Special Skills:
    • Motivated self-starter with a strong desire to learn from others.
    • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
    • Strong problem-solving abilities.
    • Effective time management and multitasking skills.
    • Strong interpersonal skills.
