BioLife’s mission is to collect high-quality plasma from dedicated donors, which is then transformed into life-changing medicines for patients with rare diseases globally. As a Plasma Donor Screener & Phlebotomist, you will be integral to this process, ensuring both donor safety and the quality of the plasma collected. The role requires open availability for varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, typically involving 4 to 6 hours per day, 3 or more days per week, with a total of 30-40 hours weekly.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Donor Engagement: Answer phones, greet donors, and ensure a positive experience while maintaining the safety of both donors and the team.
• Donor Screening: Conduct comprehensive screenings for new and repeat donors, accurately taking and recording vital signs and finger stick results.
• Data Management: Utilize the Donor Information System to prepare donor charts, maintain precise records, and coordinate donor compensation efficiently.
• Operational Improvement: Contribute to identifying opportunities for continuous operational improvement and initiate approved changes to center processes.
• Flexible Scheduling: Consistently work a variety of shifts, including evenings, Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, to meet patient needs and center demands.

The Must-Haves
• Background: High school diploma or equivalent. This is an early career level role focused on direct patient/donor interaction.
• Experience: No specific prior professional experience is strictly required for the core technical tasks of this role.
• Skills: Ability to perform donor screenings, execute phlebotomy procedures, accurately take vital signs, conduct finger stick tests, maintain meticulous records, and provide excellent customer service.
• Bonus: At least one year of experience in a customer or patient-facing role is considered helpful for this position.
