Plant Supply Chain Planner | Lassonde Pappas & Company, Inc.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Validate Production Output: Review and validate the prior day’s finished goods production, including comparing scheduled versus actual output, and thoroughly investigate any production discrepancies greater than five percent to ensure data accuracy.
• Manage Inventory Accuracy: Perform high-dollar and random cycle counts on bottles and other materials, adjust work orders in the inventory reporting system (QAD) for count discrepancies, and apply problem-solving skills with Root Cause Analysis to resolve data integrity issues between physical inventory and system records.
• Procure Materials: Make final decisions on material supply requirements based on MRP forecasting, meticulously place and manage purchase orders for packaging, ingredients, and variable materials from approved suppliers, and coordinate with vendors to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and components for continuous production.
• Develop Production Schedules: Develop, maintain, and continuously adjust the plant’s production schedule based on corporate scheduling forecasts, inventory targets, and capacity constraints, while actively optimizing line utilization to improve overall efficiency.
• Oversee Logistics and Supply Flow: Track inbound shipments, proactively resolve logistics issues, manage necessary documentation, monitor and prioritize the progress of supply orders, and communicate all potential delays that could significantly impact production to corporate scheduling in a timely manner.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, operations, or a closely related field, indicating a foundational understanding suitable for an early-career professional.
• Experience: Requires 1-3 years of practical experience in a supply chain role, demonstrating familiarity with relevant processes, along with prior experience utilizing an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system for inventory and production management.
• Skills: Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, coupled with the ability to effectively handle stressful and time-sensitive situations. This role demands a highly detail-oriented individual capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Bonus: Prior experience as an Excel superuser is strongly preferred for advanced data analysis and reporting.
