Plant Administrative Assistant | Cargill
The Tone:
This is an onsite administrative assistant position at Cargill’s Egg Facility, located in Big Lake, Minnesota. Cargill is a family company dedicated to providing food and agricultural solutions that nourish the world safely, responsibly, and sustainably. This role is vital for providing moderately complex administrative and clerical support, ensuring the smooth operation of administrative and staff functions. The position contributes to the Food Enterprise, which serves food manufacturers, food service customers, and retailers with innovative ingredients and branded products.

• Role: Plant Administrative Assistant
• Type: Onsite, five days a week
• Location: In-person, Big Lake, MN
• Pay: $25–$29 hourly
• Team: Supports salaried and hourly stakeholders, coordinating across multiple egg processing facilities and working with supply chain, procurement, and finance teams.
• Mission: To provide essential administrative and clerical support for plant operations, ensuring efficient coordination and implementation of assigned functions.
• Tech Stack: UKG, SAP
What You’ll Actually Do
• Administrative Process Management: Apply department operations knowledge, policies, and procedures to perform moderately complex administrative tasks.
• Financial and Supply Support: Oversee timecard management using UKG and facilitate the purchasing of plant supplies through SAP.
• Information Organization: Solicit, collect, and organize documentation and data, performing data entry into various systems.
• Communication & Logistics: Receive and relay messages, respond to administrative requests, and coordinate meetings, diaries, and travel arrangements.
• Support & Escalation: Address moderately complex clerical, administrative, technical, or customer support issues, escalating complex concerns to appropriate staff.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. High school diploma, secondary education level, or equivalent.
• Experience: Minimum of two years of related work experience.
• Skills: Administrative support, clerical support, data entry, scheduling, effective communication.
• Bonus: Prior SAP experience, experience within a manufacturing environment, or previous timecard management/payroll systems experience.
