The TL;DR

• Team: Part of a patient care and wellness team; directly supervises pharmacy technicians, clerks, and interns.
• Mission: To optimize medication therapy, provide outstanding patient-centered care, and positively impact community well-being.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Deliver Patient Care: Actively provide direct patient care services and comprehensive wellness support, fostering meaningful relationships with patients by name.
• Lead Pharmacy Operations: Supervise and guide pharmacy technicians, clerks, and pharmacy interns, ensuring efficient and high-quality service delivery.
• Drive Operational Excellence: Champion and maintain operational excellence within the pharmacy, ensuring a safe, compliant, and continuously evolving practice environment.
• Contribute to Company Culture: Actively participate in and support the company’s cultural initiatives, enhancing overall success and promoting a positive work atmosphere.
• Manage Health Conditions: Play a valuable and direct role in disease state management, assisting patients in managing both acute and chronic health conditions through optimized medication therapy.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D) degree, or an equivalent Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Examination Committee (FPGEC) certification from NABP.
• Experience: Possess an active pharmacy license in the state(s) of practice, with all held licenses in good standing. Certification as an Immunizer is also a mandatory requirement for this role.
• Skills: Demonstrated capability in providing direct patient care and delivering patient-centered services; proficiency in optimizing medication therapy and managing disease states; ability to supervise pharmacy staff effectively; and strong commitment to ensuring regulatory compliance and operational safety within the pharmacy setting.
