This is a full-time People Systems Analyst role at Morrison Foerster, a leading global law firm, based in San Francisco or New York. This role is pivotal within the Human Resources Department, directly supporting critical HR Systems like Workday, iCIMS, and SharePoint. The People Systems Analyst ensures the seamless operation, development, and enhancement of these systems, which are foundational to the firm’s talent management and employee experience. Your contributions will directly enable efficient HR operations and empower MoFo’s people.

• Team: Reports to the Director HR Systems, works with Sr HR Systems Analyst
• Mission: Owns the support, maintenance, and improvement of core HR systems like Workday, iCIMS, and SharePoint, along with HR systems projects.

What You’ll Actually Do
• System Support: Provide comprehensive production support and system administration for Workday, iCIMS, and other critical HR applications. This includes actively troubleshooting issues, generating essential reports and data exports, managing system interfaces, ensuring data security, and efficiently resolving VIP tickets.
• Project Execution: Actively support various HR Systems projects from inception to completion. Responsibilities include gathering detailed business requirements, conducting thorough fit-gap analyses, configuring systems to meet specifications, executing rigorous testing, performing data cleanup and auditing, enhancing system security, and driving overall process improvements.
• Integration & Collaboration: Partner closely with MoFo’s IT department, external vendors, and internal functional teams to support system requirements, implement enhancements, manage business-critical system integrations, and contribute to intranet projects.
• Documentation & Training: Develop and meticulously maintain system documentation, communications, and training materials to ensure clarity and user proficiency. This also involves delivering effective end-user training to maximize system adoption and understanding.
• Information Analysis & Improvement: Analyze HR information needs to identify opportunities for system and process improvements, contributing to a more efficient and effective HR ecosystem. Additionally, you will assist with the maintenance of HR SharePoint pages and serve as backup support to the Director HR Systems and Sr HR Systems Analyst.
• Continuous Learning & Compliance: Remain current on HR, legal industry, and technology trends to continuously improve efficiency, teamwork, and client service within the HR Systems function. Promote the Firm’s Client Service Principles and comply with all information handling, confidentiality, and safety requirements.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree plus 2 to 4 years of related experience. Demonstrated experience in the HR Systems domain is essential.
• Experience: Prior experience in HR Systems implementation and/or production support is preferred. Specific experience with Workday HCM, iCIMS, and other web-based HR applications is also preferred.
• Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, communication, and information-gathering skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple priorities, anticipate and resolve issues, meet deadlines, and take assignments from inception to completion with minimal supervision.
• Bonus: Working knowledge of ad hoc reporting tools with experience developing custom reports and exports; proficiency with Excel, Access, databases, spreadsheets, or file management systems. A strong sense of accountability, reliability, and commitment to client service, with the flexibility to work outside regular business hours as needed.
