People Operations Coordinator

About the Opportunity: Careerscape is seeking a passionate and detail-oriented People Operations Coordinator on behalf of our client, a leading sales company based in San Francisco. This is a fully remote role, ideal for HR professionals who thrive on fostering an exceptional employee experience, building strong teams, and ensuring seamless people operations. You will play a pivotal, hands-on role in vital HR functions including recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, and employee engagement across a rapidly growing organization.

Compensation: $75,000–$90,000/year
Location: Remote (Client based in San Francisco, CA)

Responsibilities

  • Support full-cycle recruiting efforts, including creating and posting job advertisements, candidate screening, and interview scheduling.
  • Lead onboarding and orientation programs for all new hires to guarantee a welcoming and smooth first-day experience.
  • Meticulously maintain and update employee data within the HRIS platform, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Administer all aspects of benefits, including enrollment, processing changes, and addressing employee inquiries.
  • Coordinate and track various training programs, monitoring completion and employee development milestones.
  • Serve as a primary resource for employee questions regarding company policies, PTO, and HR procedures.
  • Assist with offboarding processes, including conducting exit interviews and analyzing feedback to identify trends.
  • Actively contribute to broader HR initiatives such as engagement surveys, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) efforts, and culture-building programs.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in human resources, people operations, or HR administration.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a closely related field.
  • Solid working knowledge of current employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Demonstrated experience with HRIS platforms such as BambooHR, Workday, or ADP.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace or Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport and trust.
  • Highly organized with a meticulous attention to detail and the ability to handle sensitive information with utmost discretion.
  • Comfortable and effective working autonomously in a remote environment.
