Payroll Specialist | Vivie

• Mission: Ensures accurate, timely payroll processing and compliance while serving as a trusted employee resource for Vivie’s owned and managed organizations.
• Tech Stack: Payroll software, Microsoft Office, time clock system

What You’ll Actually Do
• Payroll Processing: Manage all aspects of payroll processing, including precise data entry, thorough timesheet verification, accurate wage garnishment calculations, and timely updates to the time clock system to ensure employees receive accurate and timely paychecks.
• Record Management: Maintain comprehensive payroll records and process all employee changes, collaborating closely with HR on benefit deductions and 403(b) contributions, and providing payroll-related support to staff by verifying status updates, tax exemptions, and direct deposit information.
• Compliance & Reporting: Ensure continuous compliance with federal and state regulations by maintaining up-to-date knowledge of payroll rules and managing CMS-required PBJ reporting with accuracy for all submissions.
• Employee Support: Serve as a primary resource for all payroll-related questions and issues, delivering exceptional support by resolving concerns efficiently, confidentially, and with the utmost professionalism.

The Must-Haves
• Background: This role requires an Associate’s degree in a related field, indicating a foundational understanding of relevant financial or administrative principles, making it suitable for an early career professional.
• Experience: Candidates must bring at least two years of direct payroll experience, demonstrating a practical ability to manage payroll operations, alongside proficiency with payroll software and Microsoft Office applications.
• Skills: Strong mathematical aptitude, analytical problem-solving capabilities, and robust computer literacy are essential, coupled with a thorough knowledge of state and federal laws governing payroll and benefits administration.
• Abilities: The successful candidate must possess flexibility and adaptability to manage changing priorities and workloads, the ability to read, write, and speak English for effective communication, and the capability to pass state-mandated background checks.
