As a Golf Course Ranger/Course Ambassador, you will be pivotal in ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for all our guests. Your primary responsibility will be to control the pace of play on the golf course, providing exceptional guest services, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere. Our team prioritizes your safety and that of our patrons, with strong protocols in place, allowing you to focus on customer experience, camaraderie, and efficient course management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
  • Provide comprehensive information regarding the golf course, estimated play times, and other golf-related inquiries.
  • Deliver excellent customer service to arriving guests, assisting in expediting the check-in process.
  • Keep golf shop personnel informed regarding the pace of play, especially tracking from the first tee.
  • Supply guests with essential items such as scorecards, pencils, and other necessary materials.
  • Advise guests on current course conditions and expected pace of play.
  • Implement and consistently support all course policies and programs as communicated by management.
  • Perform various other duties as assigned by a supervisor or manager to ensure smooth operations.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Possess a strong work ethic and a proactive approach to tasks.
  • Exhibit a friendly personality and genuinely enjoy interacting with the public.
  • Be organized and capable of working effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrate a strong customer/guest orientation, always striving for satisfaction.
  • Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with guests and colleagues.
  • Be dependable and punctual.
  • Knowledge about the game of golf is preferred, enhancing your ability to assist guests.

Working Conditions:

  • Physical Demands:
    • Regularly required to reach with arms and hands.
    • Often required to walk, stand, talk or hear, handle, feel, or operate objects.
    • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 30 lbs occasionally.
    • Occasionally required to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Vision Requirements:
    • Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, as well as depth perception.
  • Environment/Noise:
    • Moderate exposure to extreme cold, heat, working outdoors, mechanical hazards, and electrical hazards.
    • The noise level in the work environment is generally moderately quiet.

Additional Information:

  • Ability to work extended hours during golf and holiday seasons.
  • Availability to work weekends and holidays is required.
