Overnight Operations Manager | The Restaurant Store

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at The Restaurant Store, located at one of its retail branch locations. The Restaurant Store aims to exceed customer expectations by providing excellent hospitality, quality, and value, functioning as a one-stop-shop for restaurant supplies and foodservice equipment. This role is crucial for managing the physical merchandising of all items, ensuring operational goals are met through effective time management strategies that align with sales, order fulfillment, merchandising, and inventory objectives.

• Team: Reports to the Branch Manager
• Mission: Manage the physical merchandising and operational goals for a retail branch, aligning with sales, order fulfillment, merchandising, and inventory teams.
• Tech Stack: MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), CRM systems, project management tools

What You’ll Actually Do
• Merchandising & Replenishment: Optimize sales by ensuring effective product replenishment throughout the branch and maintaining promotional displays.
• Operational Organization: Ensure a high level of organization and neatness is maintained while completing inventory replenishment tasks.
• Order Fulfillment Support: Support the location’s order fulfillment methods by managing order pulling as needed throughout the shift.
• Cross-functional Communication: Communicate effectively with other department managers to meet customer needs and with Branch/Assistant Branch Managers for building safety and maintenance.
• Team Leadership & Building Care: Support the development and training needs of the overnight team, manage employee relations, oversee building safety, and maintain overall cleanliness.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Manager-level professional with relevant experience in retail and/or supply chain management, specifically focused on merchandising management.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
• Skills: Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), strong analytical and problem-solving skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines.
• Bonus: Experience with CRM systems and project management tools, ability to quickly adapt as business needs change, a service leadership approach with a desire to exceed expectations.
