Warehouse Order Checker | Coca-Cola Consolidated

The TL;DR
• Role: Full Time
• Type: Mon-Fri 6:30 pm – 3:00 am
• Location: In-person, Akron, OH
• Pay: $18–$19 hourly
• Mission: Ensures the accuracy of customer orders before delivery and verifies the integrity of returning route delivery trucks.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Verify Order Accuracy: Inspect built pallets for proper construction, stabilization, and security, reviewing pick tickets to confirm correct product types and quantities.
• Inspect Returning Trucks: Assess the condition of returned route delivery trucks for the check-in process and conduct blind counts of returning products against reported quantities.
• Document Discrepancies: Record any changes, additions, or subtractions required for customer orders, such as miss-picks or out-of-stocks, on relevant reports and communicate information to appropriate personnel.
• Account for Returns: Classify and account for all returned product and deposit items from route delivery trucks, categorizing items like out-of-date, damaged, or good.
• Maintain Work Area: Ensure the cleanliness and safety of the work area and warehouse, performing additional tasks like pallet building as requested by management.

The Must-Haves
• Background: High School diploma or GED, with a fundamental understanding of warehouse processes.
• Experience: Up to 12 months acquired through work experience, demonstrating the ability to collaborate in a team environment.
• Skills: Attention to detail, understanding of basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication), ability to lift up to 75 lbs, ability to read and interpret instructions from a computer screen, and ability to differentiate packages.
• Bonus: PIT (Powered Industrial Truck) Certification, specifically for a Pallet Jack.
