This Operations Specialist role is crucial for ensuring the smooth planning, coordination, and execution of maritime activities, directly contributing to the success of the U.S. Navy’s unmanned surface vessel operations.

The TL;DR
• Role: Full Time
• Location: In-person, Virginia Beach, VA
• Pay: $100000–$150000 yearly
• Team: Works alongside Senior Operations Lead Piotr Dlugolecki
• Mission: This role ensures the successful planning, coordination, and execution of maritime activities for the DAWG program.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Coordinate Maritime Activities: Take responsibility for the comprehensive planning, precise coordination, and successful execution of maritime activities vital to the DAWG program at Little Creek in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
• Support USV Operations: Offer hands-on operational support specifically tailored for U.S. Navy unmanned surface vessel (USV) operations, ensuring seamless execution of critical missions.
• Facilitate Training & Demonstrations: Actively support and facilitate operator familiarization sessions, practical demonstrations, organized exercises, and other customer requirements related to USV capabilities.
• Ensure Readiness & Logistics: Oversee and manage equipment readiness and logistics, ensuring all necessary resources are in place to support ongoing and ancillary mission activities effectively.
• Conduct Reviews & Documentation: Execute comprehensive documentation, rigorous testing protocols, and detailed after-action reviews, adapting these processes as DAWG program requirements evolve.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Supporting a federal government client through the planning, coordination, and execution of maritime activities, particularly for the DAWG program.
• Experience: Proven ability to provide hands-on support for U.S. Navy unmanned surface vessel (USV) operations, encompassing operator familiarization, demonstrations, exercises, and managing related customer requirements.
• Skills: Demonstrated proficiency in operational execution, managing equipment readiness and logistics, comprehensive documentation practices, conducting thorough testing, and performing detailed after-action reviews.
