The Tone:
This is an onsite summer internship at Wonderful Pistachios & Almonds, located in Firebaugh, CA. The company is the largest vertically integrated pistachio and almond processor globally, dedicated to providing high-quality, sustainably harvested nuts to consumers worldwide. This role is crucial for an Operations Project Intern to gather and analyze data, contributing to a key project focused on enhancing production processes and overall efficiency within the company’s manufacturing environment. The internship provides hands-on experience and the opportunity to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
The TL;DR

• Pay: $19–$20 hourly
• Mission: To collect and analyze production process data to identify and implement efficiency improvements within the Operations Area.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Collect: Conduct thorough data collection on existing manufacturing processes.
• Analyze: Utilize various tools and methodologies to analyze data and identify areas for improvement.
• Develop: Create comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures for key manufacturing processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
• Collaborate: Work with cross-functional teams to gather insights, validate and refine procedures, and implement process improvements.
• Track: Monitor and report key performance indicators related to the processes.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Must be a Wonderful Scholar enrolled in the College Success program and at least 18 years of age.
• Experience: No specific years of experience are required; the role is designed for hands-on experience in process improvement initiatives.
• Skills: Analytical and problem-solving skills; proficiency in data collection and analysis tools; excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Bonus: Preferred bilingual in English and Spanish.
