Trainee Operations Management – All Shifts – Eufaula, AL | Tyson Foods

The Tone:
This is a developmental leadership position for a Trainee Operations Management role at Tyson Foods, located in Eufaula, AL. Tyson Foods is a leading food company, and this role is crucial for supporting and influencing day-to-day production and operational performance. The position contributes to plant and live operations priorities by identifying opportunities and recommending solutions, while building foundational leadership capability to manage teams and processes.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Analyze: Analyze operational performance metrics to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
• Implement: Recommend and help implement process improvements related to safety, quality, yield, and efficiency.
• Troubleshoot: Exercise independent judgment in troubleshooting operational issues and proposing solutions.
• Coordinate: Coordinate cross-functional initiatives with departments like HR, Maintenance, FSQA, and Accounting to support plant objectives.
• Lead: Lead or direct teams in assigned situations, including gap coverage, line oversight, or project leadership.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Associate’s degree, technical degree, or higher in a related field, or one year of equivalent practical experience.
• Experience: Demonstrated exposure through internships, hands-on work, or academic projects in production, agriculture, manufacturing, live operations, or production operations environments, showcasing analytical thinking, problem-solving, and independent judgment in operational settings.
• Skills: Basic computer skills, strong communication and interpersonal skills, problem-solving and critical thinking skills, and leadership potential.
• Bonus: Bachelor’s degree preferred in Operations, Agriculture, Animal Science, Poultry Science, Food Science, or similar fields, along with a basic understanding of safety and quality standards.
