Operations Management Trainee | Ryder

What You’ll Actually Do
• Customer Relations: Manage all customer relationship activities to drive customer retention, providing a quality interface, proactive customer management, efficient issue resolution, and overall customer satisfaction.
• Rental Coordination: Coordinate closely with the rental department to achieve maximum asset utilization without compromising the needs of lease customers.
• Sales Support: Partner directly with the Sales team on customer calls to secure new business opportunities and enhance existing customer satisfaction levels.
• Cost Optimization: Actively manage running costs and maintenance overheads to contribute to operational excellence, strictly adhering to established policies and processes for optimal cost efficiency.
• Maintenance Oversight: Oversee all aspects of maintenance operations, including ensuring accurate PM scheduling and follow-up, managing breakdowns and vehicle status updates, and planning Technician work for efficiency, training, and flexibility.
The Must-Haves
• Background: A Bachelor’s Degree is required, making this an ideal opportunity for a recent college graduate. Successful completion of the program also requires a willingness to relocate within the business unit upon conclusion of the training.
• Experience: No prior work experience is explicitly required, though 1 year or more in customer service with issues resolution experience is preferred.
• Skills: Advanced PC proficiency, including spreadsheet and word processing software; a basic understanding of business finance, controls, and metrics; and strong mechanical skills.
• Bonus: 1 year or more of customer service experience, particularly involving issue resolution.
