The Tone:
This is a Temporary Assignment internship at Enovis Corporation, located in Austin, Texas. This role is integral to the Production Control team within Enovis Surgical, a unit dedicated to providing modern, patient-focused solutions for total joint arthroplasty, including innovative hip, knee, shoulder, and elbow implants. As a key member of the Operations team, you will play a crucial part in helping Enovis drive the medical technology industry forward by contributing to the manufacturing and operational processes that transform patient care.

• Team: Production Control team, reporting to the Sr. Manager, Manufacturing Engineering, within the Enovis Surgical® business unit.
• Mission: To gain hands-on experience by contributing to the manufacturing and operational processes that drive the production of cutting-edge orthopedic devices and improve patient outcomes.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Office Suite

What You’ll Actually Do
• Optimize Processes: Collaborate closely with the Manufacturing team to identify specific areas for process improvement, drive efficiency enhancements, and actively pursue cost reduction opportunities within production.
• Ensure Quality: Assist proactively in ensuring strict compliance with both industry regulations and internal quality standards through direct participation in various quality control activities.
• Support Production: Contribute directly to day-to-day manufacturing operations, which includes monitoring key production metrics, troubleshooting operational issues as they arise, and implementing corrective actions effectively.
• Analyze Data: Perform thorough analysis of manufacturing data to identify emerging trends, accurately assess performance, and provide valuable insights for continuous improvement initiatives.
• Facilitate Collaboration: Work cross-functionally and seamlessly with various departments, including R&D, Engineering, and Quality Assurance, to ensure efficient communication and coordinated efforts across the organization.
• Maintain Documentation: Assist diligently in maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation related to critical manufacturing processes, ensuring full compliance with all regulatory requirements.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently enrolled in a relevant undergraduate program such as Engineering, Operations Management, or Industrial Engineering.
• Experience: This internship role does not require specific prior professional experience, offering a direct opportunity for entry-level contribution within medical technology operations.
• Skills: Possess strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a keen attention to detail; demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork abilities; and be proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite applications.
