Operations Intern | NuAxis Innovations

The Tone:
This is a Part-time internship at NuAxis Innovations, located in the Washington, DC Metropolitan Area. NuAxis Innovations is a federal IT company focused on making customer experience central to government solutions. This role is crucial for supporting various operational functions, including employee communications, marketing, process improvement, internal IT, and responsible AI initiatives, helping drive business success and operational excellence.

The TL;DR
• Role: Internship
• Type: Part-time (15–25 hours per week)
• Location: Hybrid, Washington, DC Metropolitan Area

• Team: Operations Team
• Mission: Owns support for various operational functions, including communications, marketing, IT, and AI initiatives, to drive business success and efficiency.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams), Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, SharePoint, Power Automate, Jira, social media management and analytics platforms, generative AI tools.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Employee Communications: Draft and distribute internal company announcements and newsletters.
• Marketing & Events: Create content for social media, support website updates, and assist with event planning and execution.
• Process Improvement: Document business processes, identify efficiency opportunities, and develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• IT Operations: Assist with employee onboarding/offboarding and help maintain IT asset inventories.
• AI Innovation & Governance: Research emerging AI tools, develop internal usage guidelines, and create employee training materials for responsible AI use.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-level role for a student or recent graduate pursuing or having completed a degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience: Demonstrated interest in AI technologies, business operations, and digital transformation, along with familiarity with major social media platforms and digital communication tools.
• Skills: Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills; excellent organizational and time management skills with attention to detail; proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications.
• Bonus: Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, SharePoint, Power Automate, Jira, or social media management/analytics platforms; knowledge of process improvement methodologies; experience using generative AI tools; ability to work in a hybrid environment in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.
