Operations Financial Analyst | Bakelite

What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Management: Support core financial processes including planning, forecasting, and month-end close activities.
• Strategic Partnership: Collaborate with site leadership and various cross-functional teams to help drive operational and financial results.
• Performance Analysis: Conduct detailed analysis of manufacturing costs and assess the overall financial performance of operations.
• Reporting and Insights: Generate and provide crucial financial insights for site management, Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes, and global financial reporting.
• Budgeting Support: Assist in the budgeting processes by utilizing key assumptions and business inputs from various stakeholders.
• Investment Validation: Validate the financial impact of productivity initiatives and proposed capital investments (CAPEX).
• Data Integrity: Ensure accuracy and integrity across P&L (Profit and Loss) and balance sheet reporting.
The Must-Haves
• Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a closely related field is required. This role is suited for individuals building their career in financial operations within a manufacturing context.
• Experience: Demonstrated professional experience working with ERP systems is essential, with a preference for candidates who have experience using SAP or similar platforms. The role also requires a willingness to travel up to 20% to various operational sites.
• Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced capabilities such as pivot tables, detailed data analysis, and financial modeling. Candidates must possess an analytical mindset coupled with strong attention to detail, crucial for ensuring data accuracy and reliability. This role demands the ability to translate complex financial and operational data into clear and actionable insights, strong communication and collaboration skills for effective teamwork across departments, and the capability to manage multiple priorities effectively and maintain productivity in a fast-paced operational setting.
