What We Look For In an IB Physics Tutor

  • Capable of guiding students through applying kinematic equations, analyzing electric circuits, solving wave problems, processing experimental data with error propagation, and constructing evidence-based explanations.
  • Emphasizes connecting physics concepts to real-world applications and developing essential skills for the Internal Assessment (IA) laboratory investigation.
• Curriculum Awareness & Adaptive Instruction:
  • Familiarity with the IB Physics syllabus for both SL and HL.
  • Awareness of common challenges students face, such as uncertainty calculations, HL electromagnetic induction, and meeting IA experimental design requirements.
  • Ability to adapt instruction using past IB examination papers, data booklet exercises, and IA guidance to support IB students at both Standard and Higher Levels for internal assessments and final examinations.
• Effective Teaching Methods:
  • A knack for identifying concepts students commonly struggle with.
  • Ability to explain material using multiple approaches and adapt instruction to meet individual learning needs and styles.
  • Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style.
  • Flexibility to adapt to diverse learning styles and student requirements.
