What You’ll Actually Do
• Provide personalized 1-on-1 and instant online tutoring to college students in various mathematical subjects.
• Guide students through breaking down complex function analysis, statistical inference basics, and mathematical modeling problems.
• Explain quantitative reasoning, set theory, logic, and probability concepts using multiple, adaptive approaches.
• Prepare college students to meet general education mathematics requirements and apply math in diverse academic disciplines.
• Adapt instruction using real-world contexts, technology tools, and scaffolded problem sets to support adult learners.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Advanced subject mastery in college-level mathematics, encompassing algebra, functions and graphs, trigonometry, introductory statistics, finite mathematics, linear programming, and mathematical modeling. Familiarity with quantitative reasoning, set theory, logic, and probability.
• Experience: Proven capability in breaking down complex mathematical concepts like function analysis, statistical inference, and modeling. Demonstrated aptitude for guiding students in data interpretation, logical argument construction, and problem-solving across various disciplines.
• Skills: Ability to adapt instruction to individual learning needs and styles. Strong communication skills with a friendly and engaging teaching approach. Familiarity with college math curricula, including liberal arts math and quantitative reasoning courses. Capacity to identify common student struggles and explain material using multiple approaches.
