• Mission: This person will gain hands-on experience in all aspects of nursery and greenhouse operations to prepare for a General Nursery Manager position overseeing a growing location.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Production Oversight: Gain comprehensive, hands-on experience in all phases of greenhouse and nursery production, understanding the lifecycle and cultivation practices essential for successful growth.
• Operations Management: Oversee critical aspects of inventory and operational management, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness across the nursery and greenhouse facilities.
• Team Development: Engage in active team leadership and employee development, which includes the full cycle of recruiting, hiring, and supervising sales staff to build successful teams.
• Business Acumen: Manage various business functions including sales, direct customer service, financial management, and other general business operations integral to a growing location.
• Strategic Growth: Participate directly in extensive leadership development and strategic planning initiatives, preparing to transition into a General Nursery Manager role with full operational oversight.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Candidates must possess a strong background in greenhouse, nursery, horticulture, or other closely related agricultural operations, demonstrating a career-minded approach to growth and leadership within the industry.
• Experience: Proven experience in hiring, leading, and effectively managing a sales team is essential, showcasing the ability to develop and guide personnel towards achieving objectives.
• Skills: Strong leadership, clear communication, and excellent organizational skills are required. Candidates should also demonstrate a hands-on management style, indicative of direct involvement in day-to-day operations and team guidance.
