The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital, located in St. Petersburg, FL. This Nurse Resident role administers direct patient care to acute patients who require active treatment for various medical conditions, ensuring their well-being and recovery in a hospital setting.

• Mission: This role focuses on administering direct patient care and managing acute care patients requiring active treatment for injuries, illnesses, or post-intervention assessment.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Patient Care: Administer bedside patient care in a hospital setting under supervision, assessing needs and evaluating patient progress toward expected outcomes.
• Care Planning: Develop and revise individualized patient plans of care based on patient needs, responses, and age-specific requirements.
• Team Collaboration: Communicate and collaborate effectively with medical staff and the interdisciplinary team to plan and manage unit/department care.
• Documentation: Document patient care in a knowledgeable, skillful, and consistent manner, meeting all required and regulatory standards including assessment, education, and medication.
• Professional Growth: Actively participate in the Nurse Residency Program and take responsibility for ongoing professional development and continuing education.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, authorized by the Florida Board of Nursing (BON) to practice as a graduate nurse, and authorized to take the NCLEX examination.
• Experience: Must obtain Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) multistate RN license within three (3) months of placement.
• Skills: Bedside patient care, patient assessment, care plan development, effective communication, documentation, delegation, and problem identification.
• Bonus: Current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification is maintained; ACLS, NRP, PALS, TNCC may be required for specific units.
