Job Description:
Job Title: Nurse Extern PRN ICU
Summary: The Nurse Extern delivers high-quality, patient-centered care by performing delegated basic patient care services related to common nursing functions and activities of daily living. Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), the Nurse Extern assists the nursing staff in providing patient care according to their skills/training and the needs of the Department. The Nurse Extern assists the patient care team in maintaining a clean, well-organized, and safe patient care environment. The Nurse Extern must be currently enrolled and in good standing in an accredited school of nursing and can perform higher-level procedures once competency is achieved.
Responsibilities:
• Performs a variety of delegated basic patient care services.
• Assists the nursing staff in providing patient care under RN supervision.
• Maintains a clean, well-organized, and safe patient care environment.
• Performs higher-level procedures once competency is achieved (if applicable).
Qualifications:
• Currently enrolled and in good standing in an accredited school of nursing.
• Required 1+ years of nursing school completed.
• Preferred Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Enrolled in Nursing Program
• Associate Degree, or Bachelors Degree
