Job Description:
Title: Nurse Extern Emergency Department PRN
Summary: The Nurse Extern delivers patient-centered care by performing delegated basic patient care services related to common nursing functions and activities of daily living. They assist the nursing staff under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) and maintain a clean and safe patient care environment.
Responsibilities:
• Performs a variety of delegated basic patient care services.
• Assists the nursing staff in providing patient care according to their skills/training and the needs of the department.
• Maintains a clean, well-organized, and safe patient care environment.
• Complies with all hospital policies/procedures and observes the State Board of Nursing rules for unlicensed assistive personnel (UAP).
Qualifications:
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of employment.
• Must be currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN) and in good standing.
