What You’ll Actually Do
• Product Selection: Execute the safe and accurate selection of specific product cases in a challenging freezer environment, maintaining temperatures between 0-10 degrees Fahrenheit, in accordance with daily order specifications.
• Technology Integration: Effectively utilize sophisticated voice technology systems to receive detailed order instructions and confirm selections, streamlining the order fulfillment process and minimizing errors.
• Equipment Handling: Operate an electric tugger with proficiency, maneuvering it safely and efficiently to transport pallets and selected cases of goods across the expansive distribution center floor.
• Performance Optimization: Consistently work at a fast and productive pace throughout the shift, while strictly adhering to the company’s rigorous standards for both order quality and accuracy to achieve operational excellence.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all established safety protocols and operational guidelines, especially when working in the cold storage environment and operating material handling equipment, ensuring a secure and compliant workplace.

The Must-Haves
• Background: This is designated as an entry-level position, emphasizing that no specific educational background or prior industry-specific knowledge is required. Labatt Food Service is dedicated to employee development, providing comprehensive training programs and ongoing support to equip new team members with all the necessary skills for career advancement within the company.
• Experience: No previous work experience in a warehouse setting or related field is mandatory. We welcome candidates without prior experience and are prepared to provide full training. However, applicants who have experience in any form of manual labor, such as roles in warehouse operations, manufacturing, factory work, construction, general labor, landscaping, shipping and receiving, or as a material handler, will find this experience beneficial.
• Skills: The ability to perform physical tasks consistently in a cold environment (0-10°F), a strong commitment to maintaining high levels of accuracy and efficiency in all assigned duties, and a proactive willingness to learn and skillfully operate specialized warehouse technology and equipment are essential.
• Bonus: Candidates must possess a valid state-issued identification card or driver’s license. Furthermore, successful applicants will need to provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States and must pass a pre-employment background check, drug test, and physical examination as part of the hiring process.
