What You’ll Actually Do
• Report Preparation: Prepare daily Restaurant Revenue Report data by auditing Point of Service tapes/journals for revenue breakdown, covers, waiters’ fees, tips, and settlements.
• Audit Reporting: Run comprehensive audit reports and journals from the front office system, Point of Service, and the computer.
• System Adjustments: Make necessary corrections and adjustments, and resolve any computer problems encountered during the shift.
• Data Input: Input revenue, expenses, and allowances into the front office system to generate daily reports like the Guest Ledger Summary and Daily Restaurant Summary.
• Daily Closure: Balance all revenue and settlement accounts nightly, maintain files, and reset the system for the next day’s operations.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. A foundational understanding of basic mathematics is required.
• Experience: Proficiency in making accurate mathematical calculations using a 10-key. Experience with data input and accessing information using a moderately complex computer system.
• Skills: Ability to communicate effectively in English, basic mathematical calculation skills, and the ability to effectively handle guest and employee concerns positively.
• Bonus: A self-starting personality with an even disposition, the ability to maintain a professional appearance and manner, and a willingness to collaborate with co-workers as a team player.
