New Graduate Registered Nurse | Banner Health

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Banner Health, located in Sun City West, Arizona. Banner Health invests in the development of new graduate registered nurses through its highly accredited New Nurse Experience (NNE) program. This role provides essential training and a supportive learning environment, enabling new nurses to transition into competent professionals who deliver high-quality, safe, and efficient patient care on a Med-Surg/Progressive Care unit.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Assess: Patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural, and discharge planning needs, reviewing all relevant data.
• Formulate: Develop a comprehensive plan of care, including the discharge plan, utilizing assessment data and input from the patient, family, and health team.
• Implement: Execute the plan of care through direct patient care, coordination, delegation, and supervision of healthcare team activities, adhering to established policies and standards.
• Evaluate: Assess the patient’s and family’s response to care and teaching, revising the plan of care as needed based on observed changes in the patient’s status.
• Document: Maintain accurate, timely, and legible patient records that clearly reflect assessments, planning, interventions, and the patient’s response to treatment.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Early Career Registered Nurse with a BSN preferred, open to ADN at select locations, seeking licensed graduates for an April 2026 start.
• Experience: No more than 12 months of RN experience. Previous healthcare experience is preferred.
• Skills: Current, valid RN license (or temporary/interim license) in the state of practice, BLS certification (through American Heart Association, Red Cross, or ASHI), and the ability to maintain clinical performance competencies.
• Bonus: Bachelor’s degree, professional certification, and additional related education and/or experience.
