What You’ll Actually Do
• Assess Patient Needs: Evaluate physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural, and discharge planning needs by reviewing patient history and diagnostic data, reporting abnormal results.
• Formulate a Plan of Care: Develop an individualized plan, including discharge, based on assessment data, patient/family input, and the medical plan, collaborating with the multidisciplinary team.
• Implement the Plan of Care: Provide direct patient care, coordinate, delegate, and supervise healthcare team activities according to physician orders, nursing plans, policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Evaluate Patient Response: Assess patients’ and families’ responses to care and teaching, evaluating progress towards established goals and outcomes in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Document Care: Record assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in the patient record in a legible, timely manner, noting objective/subjective data, interventions, and patient responses accurately.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Recent or upcoming graduation from an accredited nursing program, with no more than 12 months of prior RN experience.
• Experience: Less than one year of experience as a Registered Nurse, focusing on a comprehensive training experience on the NNE unit for at least 12 months.
• Skills: Current BLS certification, ability to perform patient assessment, care planning and implementation, patient evaluation, and accurate documentation of care.
• Bonus: An active RN license, previous clinical healthcare experience, a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN), or professional certification are preferred.
