Network Engineering Intern

This 10-week internship (June 2, 2025 – August 8, 2025) is a full-time, hybrid position. You will be working from home and assigned office days will be set by your manager. The location is Bedminster, NJ, and relocation assistance may be available.

What You’ll Be Doing:

As a Network Engineering intern, you will be immersed in meaningful work and projects that deliver tangible business impact. You will have the opportunity to:

• Enhance your skills in areas such as:
Business Analytics
Programming: Java, Python, Wireshark
Data Warehousing: SQL & database query tools
Data Visualization: Splunk, Tableau, Qlik Sense
Grafana (Prometheus) & GitHub Network
Technical and Business Writing
System Tools Design and Administration
Network Design and Process
• Network with V Teamers across the globe
• Find mentors
• Establish meaningful friendships

Qualifications:

Must be currently enrolled in a degree program (Bachelor’s or Master’s) in Engineering (including Industrial and Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related major).
Graduation date must be between December 2026 and June 2028.
Must be in good academic standing.
Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for future sponsorship.
Willingness to travel and work in an assigned Verizon office.

Even Better If You Have:

Strong written and communication skills
Experience in Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite
Knowledge of SQL, Python, and/or other programming languages
Knowledge of system design and administration
Knowledge of data mapping and data analysis
Knowledge of data visualization tools (Splunk, Tableau, Qlik Sense)
Knowledge in technical writing
Knowledge of network and system automation design and implementation

Compensation:

• $25/hour – $31/hour (depending on role and class year)
• 401(k) Savings Plan with a dollar-for-dollar company match on the first 6% of your contributions
• Holiday pay (as applicable)
