The Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City is offering an exciting internship opportunity within its Public Affairs division, specifically supporting the Money Museum team. Internship Focus: The Money Museum
This internship is with the Money Museum team, where you will directly contribute to public engagement and economic education initiatives.
Key Activities
- Visitor Services: Assist at the Money Museum front desk, perform exhibit maintenance, restock economic education materials, and support guest relations.
- Educational Presentations: Conduct tours and deliver economic education presentations for various educational groups.
- Content Creation: Develop content and proposals for new permanent and temporary exhibits.
- Promotional Planning: Create plans to promote tours, programs, and educational products, and evaluate their effectiveness using appropriate methods.
- Outreach Research: Research new outreach opportunities and potential contacts for the museum.
- Consultative Projects: Serve as a “consultant” to Bank management and Money Museum staff by completing projects and preparing recommendations for improving exhibits, partnerships, tours, and educational programs.
Qualifications
- Education: Undergraduate or graduate students within two years of graduation are encouraged to apply. A degree in public history, museum studies, art and design, English, marketing, or a closely related field is preferred.
- Communication Skills: Effective oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work independently or collaboratively in team environments.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Personal Attributes: Demonstrated initiative, independence, creativity, and leadership skills.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in computer programs including, but not limited to, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

How We Work:

Pay Rate:
- $21.00 per hour.
