SkillBridge Mission Operations Associate | Forterra

The Tone:
This is an internship at Forterra, a leading provider of autonomous systems for ground-based movement in the working world. Forterra, an early innovator in driverless technology, focuses on building systems that protect front-line soldiers and enable civilian workers in the industrial base, serving as the go-to provider of ground autonomy solutions for the U.S. Department of Defense for asymmetric warfare in critical conditions. This SkillBridge internship offers hands-on experience as a Mission Operations Associate (MOA), supporting the delivery, scale, and success of customer accounts by working across growth, engineering, and product teams. MOAs help support customer relationships, developing, planning, and deploying Forterra products in support of customer missions, working side-by-side with employees and customers to understand challenges and shape solutions. Interns will gain in-depth exposure to the deployment, management, and customer-facing support of Forterra’s advanced hardware and software products, developing essential technical, strategic, and collaborative skills within a high-technology startup environment.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Research: Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify industry trends, opportunities, and potential new business avenues.
• Strategy: Support the development of business cases and go-to-market strategies for new company initiatives.
• Presentation: Assist in preparing proposals, pitch decks, and presentations for potential customers and partners.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, and marketing, to ensure business objectives align.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-level candidate eligible for a SkillBridge program opportunity, demonstrating a strong interest in defense and dual-use technology, autonomous vehicles, mobility, and technology innovation.
• Experience: Must be able to travel at least 50% of the time.
• Skills: Possess exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset. Exhibit outstanding communication and presentation skills, including the ability to influence and build relationships.
