Miami – Digital Assurance & Transparency (DAT) – Intern – Summer 2028 – Destination CPA | PwC

The Tone:
This is a full-time internship at PwC, located in Miami, FL. PwC is a leading professional services firm that provides assurance services, including digital assurance, to support clients. This role is designed for individuals eager to learn and gain exposure to PwC’s practices, contributing to client support initiatives. As an intern, you will observe, support teams, and participate in projects, enhancing your understanding of digital assurance within the Assurance practice. This experience will allow you to begin establishing your personal brand and pave the way for future opportunities.

• Mission: Support teams by performing basic tasks, conducting research, and observing professional work environments to contribute to client support and enhance understanding of digital assurance.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Support: Participate in the execution of digital assurance tasks to assist audit teams.
• Assist: Apply auditing methodologies to enhance the accuracy and reliability of assessments.
• Research: Engage in basic research and data analysis to contribute to audit projects.
• Evaluate: Participate in the evaluation of internal controls and governance frameworks.
• Learn: Develop a foundational understanding of cloud engineering and its application in audit processes.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing or having completed a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Management Information Systems, Business Analytics, Computer and Information Science, or Information Technology. This is an entry-level client service intern position.
• Experience: Candidates are typically in their third year of a four-year degree program or fourth year of a five-year program at the time of application. Before starting full-time, meet the educational requirements to be eligible to sit for the CPA exam in your intended state of employment or for licensure as a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).
• Skills: At least a 3.0 overall GPA, active listening skills to effectively communicate and understand project requirements, and the ability to accept feedback constructively while demonstrating a learning mindset.
• Bonus: Preference for a 3.5 overall GPA, experience leveraging AI for efficiencies and innovation, excelling in active listening and communication, demonstrating enthusiasm for learning PwC practices, supporting teams with basic tasks and research, and participating in projects focused on financial reporting.
