This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of merchandise sales at the 2026 Cincinnati Open, providing fans with a unique shopping experience while offering the intern valuable insights into event operations and retail management.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Merchandise Logistics: Assist in receiving, conducting inventory processes, and organizing all merchandise for The Shop.
• Visual Merchandising: Design storefront layouts and displays to enhance visual appeal and work with consultants to apply visuals throughout the shops.
• Operational Support: Coordinate with national vendor representatives to move products into the store and assist full-time staff in running The Shop during event week.
• Team Leadership: Manage temporary staff in various areas of the merchandise operation and train volunteers for point-of-sale stations and other tasks.
• Customer Experience & Post-Event: Resolve customer service issues, inquire about customer satisfaction, and assist with post-tournament breakdown and sales.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Student interested in gaining valuable experience in business, retail, marketing, communications, or sports management.
• Experience: No specific prior experience required; demonstrated ability to work hard, hold responsibility, and commit to hands-on learning.
• Skills: Inventory management, visual merchandising, customer service, organizational skills, communication.
