Member Service Associate | GreenState Credit Union

This is a regular full-time role at GreenState Credit Union, located in North Liberty, IA. This position is crucial for acquiring, expanding, and enriching member relationships, directly impacting the credit union’s mission through exceptional service and proactive sales.

• Pay: $21.46–$25.08 hourly
• Team: Reports to the Vice President / Branch Manager; no supervisory responsibilities.
• Mission: Owns the process of building and maintaining strong member relationships through personalized service and tailored financial solutions.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Member Engagement: Acquire, expand, and enrich member relationships by providing exceptional service, greeting members promptly, and demonstrating integrity and teamwork.
• Sales & Solutions: Profile members to uncover financial needs, offer appropriate GreenState products and services, structure loan applications, and make weekly outbound sales calls.
• Financial Operations: Accurately balance a cash drawer daily, perform vault duties including cash ordering and audits, and ensure all credit union policies and procedures for cash and check handling are followed.
• Compliance & Confidentiality: Adhere to all credit union service standards, federal regulations, and procedures concerning deposits, while ensuring the confidentiality of member account information.
• Community Involvement: Play a vital role in enriching the community by participating in community service organizations and Credit Union sponsored events.
The Must-Haves
• Background: High school diploma or equivalent. Must have at least one year of similar or related experience or 12 months in an MSR role within a credit union or financial institution.
• Experience: Proven ability to handle a wide variety of functions quickly and accurately, coupled with knowledge of all credit union accounts and products.
• Skills: High energy and sales ability, strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, accuracy and attention to detail, proficiency with computer applications including spreadsheets and word processing, and the ability to work independently with sound judgment.
