MBA Summer Internship – Free Cash Flow Transformation

  • You will help to shape how we forecast, optimize, and digitally transform the FCF process—gaining exposure to senior leaders, innovative digital tools, and real-world FP&A decision-making.

Key Project: Free Cash Flow Transparency & Automation Initiative

You will support a strategic, future-oriented project designed to re-shape how FCF is forecasted, analyzed, and reported in DI Software. Your work will directly support decision-making at the senior leadership level.

Primary Project Goals (Detailed)

  • Strengthen the FCF Outflows forecasting framework by enhancing data quality, redesigning analytical methodologies, and redefining core forecasting processes to improve accuracy and usability.
  • Perform deep-dive analysis of key Cash Flow drivers—including payment terms, CAPEX, and OPEX cash conversion cycles—to identify structural improvement opportunities and recommend actionable optimization levers.
  • Accelerate digitalization of FCF processes by piloting automation and visualization solutions using Tableau, Power BI, Excel automation, AI copilots, and workflow tools to increase efficiency and insight generation.
  • Rebuild and modernize the FCF insights dashboard, delivering an intuitive, executive-ready tool that improves transparency and supports decision-making across FP&A, Business Operations, and Executive Leadership.
  • Support CAPEX cash planning and governance during the Business Unit’s annual and long-term planning cycles, including evaluation of investment cash profiles and integration into the broader FCF outlook.

Primary Project Goals (Concise)

  • Enhance the Free Cash Flow (FCF) Outflows forecasting framework to improve data quality, analytical consistency, and process effectiveness.
  • Analyze key Cash Flow drivers—payment terms, CAPEX, and OPEX cash cycles—to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Pilot automation and digitalization solutions using Tableau, Power BI, Excel automation, AI copilots, or workflow tools.
  • Redesign the FCF insights dashboard to deliver clear, executive-ready transparency for FP&A and business partners.
  • Support CAPEX cash planning during the Business Unit’s annual planning cycle.

Compensation & Benefits

The hourly range for this position is $56. Siemens offers a variety of health and wellness benefits to employees.
