Consumer Banking Management Internship | Gulf Coast Bank & Trust Company

What You’ll Actually Do
• Manage Branch Transactions: Accurately process customer deposits, cash checks, disburse funds after verification, and balance cash drawers daily.
• Cultivate Client Relations: Assist in opening new consumer and business accounts, identify opportunities to promote banking services, and help resolve client challenges.
• Uphold Operational Standards: Observe branch opening and closing procedures, monitor cash general ledger accounts, and learn internal controls and regulatory compliance.
• Support Branch Management: Partner with the branch manager to optimize team performance, assist with employee issues, and observe coaching sessions.
• Engage Community & Security: Participate in and host monthly branch security meetings, and represent the company in local community organizations.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing an Associate’s degree (required). Enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree will also be considered. Business majors are preferred. This is an early career role.
• Experience: No specific years of prior experience required. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis; immigration sponsorship or assistance for OPT/CPT will not be provided.
• Skills: Highly motivated self-starter who takes initiative, demonstrates attention to detail, possesses strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and exhibits strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Bonus: Minimum preferred cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
