Material Management Analyst Intern | Oncor

This Material Management Analyst Intern role is pivotal, ensuring the efficient management of equipment, materials, and supplies essential for maintaining reliable electric service across our Transmission & Distribution operations. • Mission: Provide expertise in managing equipment, materials, and supplies inventories to ensure operational efficiency, compliance, and cost optimization for electric utility operations.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Process Ownership & System Management: Serve as the process owner for T&D system warehousing technical applications, providing oversight of Maximo inventory system health, developing training curriculum, and offering help-desk support. You will also identify and implement operational, tactical, and strategic plans for supply chain technology tools.
• Inventory Monitoring & Optimization: Develop and maintain processes for monitoring system T&D inventory levels, making necessary adjustments to meet inventory value objectives. This includes establishing Reorder Point (ROP) and Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) targets for each storeroom and publishing inventory reports to support service center requirements.
• Compliance & Control: Manage Maximo access control, including an annual review of user access. You will manage and monitor SOX controls for system storeroom inventories, provide management reports of compliance, and recommend corrective measures to assure adherence.
• Training & Material Data Management: Provide essential training and technical support to system T&D storeroom employees. This encompasses establishing, revising, and canceling Maximo Item Master attributes, and maintaining knowledge of various materials, manufacturers, product descriptions, and applications.
• Strategic Analysis & Performance: Participate in planning, forecasting, and analysis of Supply Chain material requirements, contributing to long-range strategies and developing short-term projections. You will also ensure compliance, accuracy, and alignment to Supply Chain management’s performance expectations (Turn Rates, Inventory Balances, Obsolescence) and develop and execute cost-saving initiatives.

The Must-Haves
• Background: High School Diploma required, with core domain knowledge in Supply Chain management.
• Experience: 2-5 years of direct Supply Chain related experience.
• Skills: Advanced Microsoft Office capabilities, strong written and oral communication, general business knowledge, and the ability to work with and manage confidential information.
