Marketing Coordinator | Spaceco
The Tone:
This is an entry-level to early-career position at Spaceco, a civil engineering, land surveying, and consulting firm recognized as the Midwest’s premier partner for architects, developers, contractors, and municipalities on transformative developments. This role is integral to supporting companywide communication and marketing efforts. It is structured to build professional marketing skills through hands-on experience in digital communications, website management, collateral branding, proposal assistance, and business development support. You will work closely with company leadership to enhance client and employee engagement and contribute directly to the firm’s continued growth.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Social Media Management: Strategically manage and produce compelling content for Spaceco’s social media platforms, including LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram, while also overseeing email communications to ensure consistent brand voice and messaging.
• Digital Presence Enhancement: Actively assist in the ongoing maintenance of the company website, support key digital marketing objectives, and contribute to strategies aimed at improving search engine optimization.
• Event & Engagement Planning: Provide comprehensive planning and logistical support for various company events, community outreach activities, and internal initiatives focused on fostering strong employee engagement.
• Business Development Support: Track and communicate updates on marketing efforts to company leadership, and contribute significantly to proposal creation by structuring content and formatting documents to meet submission standards.
• Brand Compliance & Administration: Conduct thorough reviews of all marketing materials to ensure consistency, high quality, and clarity that strictly comply with Spaceco’s established brand standards, alongside performing other administrative and business development responsibilities.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. This is an entry-level to early-career role.
• Experience: 0–5 years of marketing or related experience, including working knowledge of digital marketing platforms, content creation, and management, along with the ability to create marketing materials using presentation and graphic design software such as Canva, Adobe, or similar tools.
• Skills: Proficiency in social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), ability to coordinate multiple tasks and projects in a deadline-driven environment, strong written and verbal communication skills, and high attention to detail.
• Bonus: Prior marketing internship experience or knowledge of engineering/architectural professional services or the construction industry.
