This senior leadership position is essential for expanding the firm’s technology client base, driving deal flow, and providing strategic financial advice across the technology sector.

• Mission: Owns the origination, structuring, and execution of M&A and capital markets transactions for technology clients, simultaneously leading client relationships and driving revenue.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Client Origination: Develop and maintain senior-level relationships with CEOs, CFOs, and Boards of leading technology companies, proactively originating M&A, equity, and debt advisory opportunities across various subsectors like software, fintech, semiconductors, and IT services. Drive idea generation and strategic dialogue with clients regarding growth strategy, capital structure optimization, and shareholder value initiatives.
• Deal Leadership: Lead end-to-end execution of transactions, including mergers & acquisitions, IPOs, follow-ons, and private placements. This involves overseeing valuation analysis, financial modeling, due diligence, and transaction structuring, while negotiating terms and managing all internal and external stakeholders to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Revenue Generation: Consistently meet or exceed annual revenue targets by building and managing a robust pipeline of live deals and prospective opportunities. Identify and pursue cross-selling opportunities across banking, capital markets, and other product areas within the firm.
• Team Mentorship: Lead, mentor, and develop junior bankers including VPs, Associates, and Analysts, fostering a collaborative, high-performance team environment. Provide strategic guidance on pitch materials, financial analysis, and overall deal strategy.
• Market Expertise: Maintain deep expertise in technology sector trends, competitive dynamics, and valuation frameworks, ensuring the firm remains a leader in thought leadership and market insights. Represent the firm at industry conferences and client events to enhance market presence.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Executive. 12-15+ years of investment banking experience with deep expertise in one or more technology subsectors.
• Experience: Significant time at the Director/MD level with an established track record of originating and executing M&A and capital markets transactions.
• Skills: Strong existing relationships with corporate clients and financial sponsors; demonstrated ability to generate substantial revenue.
• Bonus: MBA or advanced degree in Finance, Business, or related field; proven leadership and team-building capabilities; strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
