Logistics Manager – Dedicated Transportation | Ryder

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Ryder, for a Logistics Manager overseeing dedicated transportation operations across Ryder’s extensive network. Ryder is a World-Class, Fortune 500 organization specializing in Logistics, Transportation, Fleet Maintenance, and Supply Chain Services. This role is crucial for ensuring efficient account operations, driving customer satisfaction, managing P&L, and maintaining high standards of compliance and safety within a large, established organization.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Operations Management: Oversee all activities for efficient account operation, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Team Leadership: Manage the performance of salaried and hourly employees, resolving issues and providing safety training.
• Financial Oversight: Analyze weekly and monthly P&L statements, manage payroll, accounts payable, vendor quotes, and customer invoicing.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with senior management and customers to understand needs and operate accounts to meet those demands.
• Safety & Compliance: Hold Safety & Security meetings, provide necessary training, and ensure adherence to all safety regulations.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Manager level with a H.S. diploma/GED required; core domain knowledge in supply chain, logistics, or warehouse operations.
• Experience: Three or more years of relevant experience in supply chain, logistics, warehouse, or industry related field; Two or more years managing and leading direct reports.
• Skills: Excellent knowledge of Transportation and/or Warehouse Logistics operations; Excellent knowledge of safety and security requirements; Computer literate with Microsoft Office Suite proficiency (Excel & Word required).
• Bonus: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain; Bilingual in English and French (for Quebec locations only).
