The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Let’s Play Soccer, located in Portage, MI. Let’s Play Soccer operates as an indoor soccer company with a clear mission: to unite people for the love of the Beautiful Game. The organization aims to make a positive impact on people’s lives through soccer and in their lives through acts of service to the community. This Manager in Training position is fundamental to initiating a leadership journey, where you will learn the essential skills required to run a high-performing facility, grow revenue, and consistently create great experiences for our players.

• Pay: $45000–$54000 yearly
• Team: Reports to the General Manager.
• Mission: Oversee daily operations, support revenue growth, and deliver exceptional experiences to unite the community through soccer.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Leadership: Learn to lead the team, which includes actively recruiting, training, scheduling, and coaching staff members with direct guidance from your General Manager.
• Revenue Growth: Support the facility’s revenue objectives by assisting with league registrations, managing memberships, and developing local partnerships.
• Daily Operations: Help manage the full scope of daily operational tasks, including staff scheduling, payroll processing, inventory oversight, ensuring facility safety, and coordinating maintenance efforts.
• Guest Experience: Deliver exceptional guest experiences by greeting players, promptly resolving any issues that arise, and helping every guest feel genuinely valued during their visit.
• Professional Development: Own your personal and professional growth by consistently tracking your progress and proactively preparing for your promotion to General Manager.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Manager in Training. Requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience, specifically in leadership or supervisory roles within sectors such as sports, retail, hospitality, or general operations.
• Experience: Demonstrated experience in sales or customer service is essential. Candidates must be 18 years or older and willing to consistently work evenings and weekends as required by the facility schedule.
• Skills: Team leadership, Customer service, Operational management, Problem-solving.
• Bonus: Spanish/English bilingual ability, a background in soccer or team sports, and a genuine passion for leading people and growing programs within the community.
