Manager, Finance – eCommerce Marketplace FP&A | Walmart

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Walmart, located in Bentonville, AR. Walmart operates a vast global retail and digital ecosystem. This position is critical for driving financial planning and analysis within the eCommerce Marketplace team, supporting the company’s third-party platform. By developing financial models, forecasting, and recommending expense targets, this role directly contributes to profitable growth, enhances seller experience, and strengthens customer value across Walmart’s digital ecosystem. The Manager ensures accurate financial controls, communicates key insights to senior management, and fosters continuous improvement, enabling informed, data-driven decision-making.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Planning: Prepare financial analyses and models to support strategic planning and recommend expense targets.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze business performance and communicate significant variances.
• Controls: Develop and maintain control structures to mitigate financial risks and enhance reporting transparency.
• Reporting: Produce financial models incorporating assumptions, risks, and forecasts for senior management presentations.
• Budgeting: Support budgeting processes by providing insights on historical trends and future retail events.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting, finance, or a relevant area, or 4 years of experience in accounting, finance, or a related area. Proven experience in financial analysis, planning, forecasting, and demonstrated management experience, including mentoring and developing associates.
• Skills: Strong skills in variance analysis and data interpretation, ability to develop and maintain complex financial models, effective communication skills for presenting financial results, and expertise in process improvement methodologies.
• Bonus: Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA), proficiency in Microsoft Office, and experience with supervisory responsibilities.
