Management Trainee Program | CED

The Tone:
This is a full-time management trainee program at CED, located in Colorado. CED is a privately held company operating more than 700 locations nationwide. This competitive program is designed to develop sales-minded candidates into future leaders, equipping them with the knowledge and skills necessary to manage their own multi-million-dollar location upon completion. The role is critical for growing CED’s leadership pipeline and ensuring the continued success of its business operations.

• Team: Reports to the Training Manager
• Mission: This role prepares candidates to manage their own multi-million-dollar CED location by providing extensive on-the-job and online training across all business aspects.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Business Operations: Rotate through essential functions including warehouse operations, counter sales, accounts payable, and accounts receivable to build a foundational understanding of CED’s daily processes.
• Financial & Inventory Management: Gain practical experience by learning financial statement analysis, managing purchasing, and overseeing inventory to optimize resource allocation and financial health.
• Sales Development: Master both inside and outside sales techniques, project management, and customer interaction strategies to drive revenue and build client relationships.
• Specialized Training: Attend multiple in-person sessions and complete online modules focused on specific electrical products, advanced sales methodologies, and effective management principles.
• Leadership Preparation: Undertake a comprehensive 2-3 year training program designed to prepare you to independently manage and operate your own multi-million-dollar CED location.

The Must-Haves
• Background: A Bachelor’s Degree is required, though related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree. This program is tailored for entry-level, sales-minded candidates aspiring to leadership.
• Experience: Authorization to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship from CED, alongside a current, valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record. No prior industry experience is necessary to succeed.
• Skills: Demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills, effective problem-solving abilities, self-motivation, and the capacity to adapt and thrive in a multifaceted industry.
