Management Trainee | Carmeuse

The Tone:
This is a full-time Management Trainee position involving in-person work across various plant/field settings in North America. Carmeuse is a global leader in producing lime, high calcium limestone, and dolomitic stone, critical for energy producers, environmental services, construction, and manufacturing. This role is crucial for developing future leaders who will gain a comprehensive understanding of Carmeuse’s diverse operations and contribute to the organization’s sustained success and efficiency. The trainee will navigate a structured program designed to foster leadership skills and deepen business acumen in a supportive environment.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Rotational Training: Follow rotational training programs through various departments and roles to gain a comprehensive understanding of each department’s responsibilities and their contribution to organizational success.
• Project Engagement: Engage hands-on in tasks and projects, applying learned knowledge in a supportive environment and working on assigned projects to improve efficiency and support departmental goals.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Participate in mentorship with subject matter experts, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and network within the organization to gain understanding of business operations and foster collaboration and knowledge sharing.
• Data Analysis & Reporting: Read, comprehend, and write routine reports and correspondence, and analyze data to assist in decision-making and effectively present information to team members, supervisors, and external stakeholders.
• Safety & Compliance: Promote a culture of safety, ensure compliance with MSHA and company standards, support environmental health initiatives, and actively participate in safety training and hazard reporting.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mining, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field. This is an entry-level position.
• Experience: Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
• Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities; strong oral and written communication skills; organizational skills with the ability to multi-task; ability to adapt to different work environments and learn quickly.
• Bonus: Familiarity with ERP systems (including SAP); positive & proactive attitude with the ability to address issues and implement solutions; ability to work autonomously while also thriving in a team environment; willingness to travel and work in plant/field settings as required.
