This is a full-time, nationwide role at CED, designed for individuals seeking management positions with geographic flexibility. CED is a privately held, nationwide wholesaler of electrical supplies, operating over 750 locations across the United States. The company provides electricians and contractors with essential materials for various projects, with products foundational to homes, apartment complexes, and office buildings. This Management Trainee program is a critical pathway for developing future leaders who will run their own multi-million-dollar CED locations. Trainees will gain comprehensive, real-world experience and knowledge across every aspect of CED’s business operations, making a direct impact on the company’s success and growth.

• Mission: To train and develop sales-minded candidates to successfully run their own multi-million-dollar CED locations after completing a comprehensive program.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Master Business Operations: Gain hands-on experience and learn all aspects of CED’s multi-million-dollar wholesale distribution business through structured, on-the-job rotations lasting 2-3 years. This includes practical training in the warehouse, counter sales, and various office functions.
• Develop Sales and Management Acumen: Actively participate in multiple training sessions and online modules focused on electrical products, effective sales strategies, and comprehensive management principles. This program provides real training with no prior industry experience required.
• Engage in Financial Management: Understand and apply financial processes and controls by rotating through accounts payable, accounts receivable, and analyzing financial statements to ensure sound business practices.
• Cultivate Customer Relationships and Drive Growth: Manage customer interactions through counter sales, develop and maintain key accounts, and pursue new business development opportunities.
• Oversee Supply Chain and Project Execution: Learn to efficiently manage inventory, execute purchasing strategies, and coordinate project management, ensuring smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree in any field; related professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. This is an early career role designed to build comprehensive business leaders.
• Experience: Must be at least 18 years of age and willing to commit to a rigorous 2-3 year intensive training program that includes various business rotations and required relocation during and upon completion of the program. Must possess a current, valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and authorization to work in the United States without requiring work authorization sponsorship by CED now or in the future.
• Skills:
• Outstanding written and spoken communication skills in English for internal and external interactions.
• Ability to thrive and adapt quickly in a fast-paced, multi-faceted industry.
• Strong learning aptitude and problem-solving capabilities required for managing business operations.
• Bonus: Prior sales or customer service experience is preferred.
